Με το 2013 να είναι παρελθόν, το Metacritic ανακοίνωσε τα κορυφαία παιχνίδια της προηγούμενης χρονιάς με βάση τον μέσο όρο των βαθμολογιών τους. Όπως αναμενόταν, καλύτερο παιχνίδι του 2013 είναι το Grand Theft Auto 5 με μέσο όρο 97, και ακολουθούν τα The Last of Us με 95, Bioshock Infinite με 94, και Super Mario 3D World επίσης με 94.
